About · Mission

Younger voices, in the rooms mental health is decided.

Neuro Health Alliance is a student-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to break the stigma around mental and neurological health, through advocacy, education, creative expression, and open research.

Why we exist

Young people carry a growing share of the mental-health crisis, and the least say in how it's addressed. Stigma keeps them quiet. Waitlists and cost keep help out of reach. And the people most affected are rarely the ones building the response.

NHA flips that. We're students, advocates, clinicians, and researchers building the support we wished we'd had, and putting it where the people who need it can actually reach it.

In one sentence

We turn advocacy, art, education, and open science into real understanding, so more young people recognize what they're feeling and feel able to reach out.

Theory of change

How change actually happens.

This is the path we build, from a first honest conversation to someone actually reaching out for help. Each step leads to the next.

Step 01

Voice

Stories and art get people talking about mental health, and talking is where stigma starts to break down.

Step 02

Understanding

Chapter workshops and free tools help people learn what these conditions actually involve.

Step 03

Access

Open research and screening tools lower the barrier to a first step.

Outcome

Reaching out

More young people who understand themselves, and feel able to ask for help.

Three fronts

What we work on.

01 / Advocacy

Youth voices, out loud

First-person articles, an artwork gallery, and campaigns like Dear Future Me and STOP-Cyberbullying. Every piece is published with a real name.
